Wow!
Randy, this is an amazing album. Can I download it to my ipod? Thanks for being faithful to the gift God gave you. The music makes my feet tap and the words sooth my heart. Nice Theology. Do you have a Spanish version? Ha Ha! We need to catch up and sample the new Mexican food joints. Very cool bass line on Consume my heart! That guy sounds like a genus. Was it Victor Wooten? Just kidding.
Joy in my heart is what I feel when I hear your music. You Rock. THANKS!
Your Friend,
M.

You've Never Failed: Without exaggeration, this may be one of the best things you’ve done so far. The lyrics are comforting because they take the mind to (and keep it stayed on) Jesus; the music supports but doesn’t overwhelm the lyrics. Generally, the song reminds us (needful at any time, but particularly in these times) that He has, indeed, never failed in any way, at any time, to love us. Thank you, Randy, for sharing it.

Hi Randy!
Sorry it's taken me over a week to get on here and post my comments on the bridge for You've Never Failed... 1. Know that I like this song. I think your chorus is super hooky. The melody of the lyric really sticks. I find myself singing it in the shower. 2. I really like the single verse. The song has a nice, tight feel to it that way. It feels really good to me. I know I suggested it, but I'm just wondering how it's sitting with you as you live with the song. 3. On the bridge: it's okay - not bad, not great. It's just there. It doesn't make me love the song more, know what I mean? I found myself wanting the bridge to be over so we could get back to that hooky chorus. In listening to it, I wanted the song to take another step up dynamically in the bridge. I wanted the bridge to SOAR - to EXPLODE - and to do so right out of the chorus. That way when you go back to the chorus with the piano and vocal only, it's more effective dynamically. Think "how great is our God" when they go huge on "name above all names, worthy of all praise" and then down into the chorus...which then resumes it's bigness half way through (like yours does), but that bigness isn't as big as the bridge...that might be confusing, sorry! 4. I think this song has some great potential for congregational worship. In my mind, the verse and chorus are solid. Again, it's the bridge that's the thorn in the songwriter's side! Good song man!

Randy,
I love the music in your new song (You've Never Failed). I can absolutely see our congregation singing it at worship service. You Capture Me, is still my favorite and easier to sing along to. Thank you for sharing. You have a tremendous gift!
It definitely is a song that connects with listeners, while drawing you closer to Him. It's a little more difficult to sing as a congregational sing-along, than some of your other tunes, but I think it's definitely the kind of song that would be the lead off hit in an album. Loved it.

From: Digital Revolution Concerning "you've never failed" Randy - first off, there are some great production ideas in this song! You've improved considerably as a songwriter and producer over the last couple of years. The song has it's strong points, I would probably re-work the lyrics to be a bit smarter (less repetitive), and find other ways to describe God's infallibility. Overall, a huge improvement when compared to Riddle/Tomlin stuff (isn't that what we're all shooting for? ;-)

Hi Randy!!
I'm headed to your house to talk about songwriting etc in a few minutes, but wanted to drop you a line about your site. I've visited it a few times to listen to your songs, as listening with a "critical ear" helps me in my own songwriting. I just want to applaud you for opening yourself up to so much feedback about your songs, and doing it in this manner. I'm learning a great deal about songwriting just by reading other peoples comments. You're awesome!
